YOU ARE A MOBILE ARCHITECTURE

Language as transitional routine.

You are, I am, I make you, I make me, You make me, You make yourself.

It’s your own profile, you are your own platform, you are more than one.
Multiplicity. Language as a form of making.

[ ARCHITECTING THROUGH: Labeling, Branding, Language]

Rahway, NJ, 2017: A MODULAR STRUCTURE HELD BY MAGNETS is installed on a sidewalk, and the artist invites the audience to come and take a label.

The piece consists of: 2 transparent boxes made out of clear plexyglass on a metal stand held by magnets, with vinyl cut lettering that say:

Box 1: YOU ARE A MOBILE ARCHITECTURE

Box 2: I AM A MOBILE ARCHITECTURE

Inside the box: A stack of labels with the words YOU ARE A MOBILE ARCHITECTURE or I AM A MOBILE ARCHITECTURE.

The participant takes one label and labels him/herself. By self-labeling he/she becomes A MOBILE ARCHITECTURE.
